If you are unable to attend a group class or workshop but are needing help now, please Contact Us for private sessions. Many folks find that private consultations are very beneficial because more information can be covered in a shorter amount of time than in a group setting and the training is geared to your unique situation. If you have a friend who is interested in joining you in semi-private sessions, we can offer small group in-home classes as well. A popular choice is our Private 4-Class Weekly Obedience Package.

PAWSITIVE STEPS DOG TRAINING, with professional trainer Gayle Ballinger is now offering classes at Rivendale!

Life Skills Plus ( 9 weeks) A fun foundation skill-building class for families. This class is designed to heighten the relationship between the dog and the family through understanding how dogs think and learn, creating a flow of communication & developing basic skills. Curriculum is clicker/marker based and includes (but is not limited to) sit, down, got to bed, come, stand, stay, walking on leash/heel.
Puppy Charm School (5 weeks) For pups up to 15 weeks of age. Designed to get pups started off well with socialization skills, playtime, and starting clicker training, this is a hands-on class with off-leash play time. We discuss the importance of relationship, reasonable boundaries, housebreaking, problem prevention, and any topics the owners request. This class is loosely based upon the Ultimate Puppy Toolkit by Premier Pet Products.

CLICKING DOG STYLE , operated by professional canine specialist Kathi Ogawa, offers many options for general manners training. Kathi is also a professional in-home dog groomer and TTouch practitioner. Below is a partial list of her classes:

Canine Good Citizen This class prepares you & your dog for the upcoming AKC CGC Certification Test in September. Join us with the goal of certifying or simply to polish your dog's social skills and have fun doing it! All dogs are eligible to qualify to be certified, regardless of breed or registration.

Puppy, Level 1 & Intermediate These classes offer a great start for beginning level dogs and those with intermediate skills.

Small Breed Classes designed just for the little ones! Play time is safe and enjoyable for the smaller dogs in this class and the training issues and concerns are geared toward their unique needs.

AIREBORNE AGILITY Strengthening the Human-Canine Bond In Play & Service. Cheryl is a certified Delta Therapy Dog class trainer. Registered Pet Partners share the physical and emotional benefits of human-animal interactions with people in healthcare and educational faclities as well as a variety of other settings.
